Terms of Use - DanceFinder

Welcome to DanceFinder, a platform owned and operated by Entaze Software Pty Ltd, based in South Africa. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DanceFinder mobile application and related services (“DanceFinder”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal minimum in your jurisdiction) to use DanceFinder. If you're under the age of majority, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

2. User Accounts

You may access DanceFinder by signing in with your Google account. By doing so, you authorize us to collect your name, email, and location to provide the service. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and agree not to share login credentials or impersonate others.

3. Data We Collect

Name and email (via Google login)
City-level location
Event interactions (RSVPs, favorites, submissions)

We do not currently collect payment data or profile pictures. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post, including events and comments. You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
Harass, abuse, or threaten others
Violate intellectual property or applicable laws

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules.

5. Event Listings and Organizer Responsibility

DanceFinder is a discovery platform and does not verify each submitted event. We are not liable for:

Cancelled, fraudulent, or misleading events
Inaccurate times or locations
Safety, conduct, or experiences at real-world events

Attend events at your own discretion.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or abuse of the platform. You may delete your account and data via the app.

7. Intellectual Property

DanceFinder, its logos, visuals, and branding are the intellectual property of Entaze Software Pty Ltd. You may not copy or reuse any part of the service without written consent.

8. Intellectual Property Complaints

To report copyright or trademark violations, contact us at legal@dancefinder.app with:

A description of the work
The link to the infringing content
Your contact details
A statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is valid

9. Community Guidelines & Moderation

DanceFinder promotes respectful, inclusive participation. We may remove any content that:

Harasses or discriminates
Misleads or deceives
Violates laws or our Community Guidelines

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The app is provided "as-is" without warranties
We are not responsible for third-party content or events
Entaze Software’s liability is limited to R10 ZAR or the minimum required by law

11. Ticketing & Payments (Future)

If DanceFinder adds ticketing features, additional terms will apply, including refund and processor policies.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users via the app or email. Continued use of DanceFinder means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. By using DanceFinder, you agree to comply with local laws in your jurisdiction.
