DanceFinder exists to connect people through the joy of dance. Whether you're discovering local events or sharing your own, our community thrives when everyone feels safe, respected, and inspired.

These Community Guidelines are part of our Terms of Use. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans.

1. Respect Others

  • No hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or any form of discrimination.
  • Harassment, threats, stalking, or bullying will not be tolerated.
  • Avoid vulgar, offensive, or excessively graphic language.

2. Share Authentic and Accurate Events

  • Do not post fake, misleading, or clickbait events.
  • Ensure all event details (date, time, location, pricing) are accurate.
  • Clearly disclose if tickets are required or if the event is private/invite-only.

3. Keep It Legal

  • No promotion of illegal substances, activities, or events.
  • Do not impersonate individuals, businesses, or organizations.
  • Do not post copyrighted content without permission.

4. Protect Safety and Privacy

  • Do not post personal contact details (yours or others’) publicly.
  • Do not upload images that contain sensitive or identifying information without consent.
  • Report suspicious or unsafe events or users to our support team.

5. No Spam or Self-Promotion Abuse

  • Avoid posting the same event repeatedly in a short period.
  • Do not flood comments or messages with unsolicited promotions.
  • Use categories and tags accurately when submitting events.

6. Use DanceFinder as Intended

  • Don’t manipulate RSVPs or inflate attendance numbers.
  • Don’t reverse-engineer or abuse the app’s infrastructure.
  • Don’t create fake accounts for manipulation or impersonation.

7. Event Hosts Have Responsibilities

  • Be clear and timely about changes or cancellations.
  • Follow applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Do not use DanceFinder to promote adult content or services.
